DESCRIPTION: Japy Freres, Paris, figural mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike, spring-driven, pendule de Paris movement in a cast spelter case signed "Ph. Mourey" having a Rococo base with two child figures blowing horns, three polychrome painted porcelain panels with putti figures, and topped by the figure of a child feeding grapes to a goat. Comes with associated wood base.
CONDITION: the case has many loose piece. One finial is missing from the lower right side. Gold finish is missing in several spots on case. Blue material around numerals has chipped off in places. Suspension spring is broken. Hands have been put on at the wrong angle. Pendulum rod has broken in two. Signed Japy movement ticks and strikes but was not tested extensively.
